Saturday, September 8, Tennis courts at Chippewa’s Riverview Park were dedicated to Bruno Agostinelli Jr. Frank Dancevic, Daniel Nestor and representatives from Tennis Canada were there to honour Bruno. NAT’s Doug Carter, Lezlie Murch, Julio Murch and Walter Garcia were also there to remember an outstanding member of the Niagara tennis community.
NAT welcomes new and returning student-athletes to the 2018-2019 school year. Along with our Canadian students, we are pleased to have students from Mexico, China, France and Bolivia join us for the academic and tennis program. We look forward to a great year.
Tennis Canada has invited NAT student-athlete, Stefan Simeunovic to train at its player training centre in Montreal. Congratulations, Stefan, and to the NAT coaches who helped him get there.
Stefan and his partner, Nemanja Stefanovic won the 2018 Under14 Rogers Outdoor Junior Nationals Doubles Championship, September 1.
Congratulations to NAT Alumni, Hans Hach Verdugo. Hans played in the US Open doubles main draw. He and his partner, Andreas Siljestrom, played a great match against Kubot and Melo, 3-6, 6-7. Hans is now ranked 174 in doubles.
