Multi-Sport Summer Camp
Niagara Academy of Sports camp will introduce your child to different sports in a fun and structured setting. Our camps focus on fun, training and development, mixed with frequent game-play, to create a varied and dynamic week of camp. Throughout the week, campers will learn and enhance a number of related skills through drills, practice and games, both indoors and outdoors, while also developing other important attributes of sport such as team building, co-operation, sportsmanship and responsibility. We focus on developing good habits, nurturing a positive sports mentality and building great moral character and leadership. In addition, campers will enjoy many other fun activities such as spirit events, other sports, crafts, and special events.
Multi-sport camps and activities are a great opportunity for participants to develop a variety of athletic skills in a supportive and fun environment. These types of programs teach a wide variety of sports in one session, such as tennis, baseball and soccer.
We welcome campers from all around the world to join the fun in one of the following formats:
- Campers from outside the region are placed with host families living in the local area. Campers can choose the types of sport activities that they will participate in during their prolonged stay. This is a great opportunity for campers to interact with new sports that they may not otherwise have access to, including tennis, rowing etc.
- Local campers may want to have the option of trying new sports and activities. Depending on the type and duration of day camp, programming could focus on a different sport each day, or could focus on a particular sport each week.
Niagara Academy of Sports Coaches and Teachers are qualified, experienced, and CPR/First Aid certified. We recruit staff and coaches who are undergraduates and graduates, with full time experiences coaching and working at camps. We value a team that has a wide variety of sporting experiences and coaching certifications. Our coaching model follows the guidelines of the sport specific LTAD plan (long term athlete development) and our teachers adhere to the Ministry of Education course outlines for athlete development.
English as a second Language classes can be added to the Sports camp program for any international students who which to add to their camp experience.
